A graduate of Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX, Gary began as an agent in 1983 and embarked on what will soon be a 30-year career. The majority of Gary’s insurance career has been focused on insuring churches and non-profit organizations. Teaming with Insurance One Agency in 2003 he has helped developed Insurance One’s center for church and non-profit organizations into one of the largest independent insurance agencies serving that clientele.

Insurance One has over 15 offices across Texas and over $75 million in sales. The strength of Insurance One’s combined resources can provide customers with some of the finest insurance companies available. With that, Gary understands that while price is always an issue, he offers a total commitment to customer service that price cannot always buy. No matter the size of the account, Gary still believes in personal service and takes great pride in the commitment he makes to his customers.

Gary and his wife Sharon have three daughters and seven precious grandchildren. Gary is an active member of Crossroads Baptist Church in The Woodlands.  
  

Paula Burns, CIC, Agent

Paula Burns specializes in insuring larger churches and non-profit organizations. She has earned the prestigious designations as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years. Her career began in property and casualty claims laying a foundation for Paula to be an advocate for clients when they need her the most, during a claim or crisis. Having attended seminary at Christian Life School of Theology, now Beacon University, Paula has a heart for serving those who serve. She is a supporter and active member of the Houston NACBA (National Association of Church Business Administrators) chapter and Church CO+OP.  
  

Patti Malott, Risk Management Consultant

Patti Malott is the head of Insurance One’s newly developed Risk Management Department. She is also the founder and president of Upright Ministries, a national organization whose mission is to protect ministries by safeguarding people and streamlining processes. She utilizes her knowledge and expertise in risk awareness to assess risk, train and educate others, and facilitate the process of change. Areas of risk reduction and streamlining processes include, but are not limited to, Finances, Human Resources (Personnel), Reducing the Risk of Child Sexual Abuse, and Facilities Management.

Patti served in the area of Business Administration for more than 22 years before founding Upright Ministries in 2002. She holds certification in Risk Management from Cambridge University. She also holds certification from the National Association of Church Business Administration (NACBA).

In 2005, Patti received the Church Management Hall of Fame Award from the NACBA at the National Conference in Keystone, Colorado, for “outstanding contributions to church management."

Craig Goodspeed, Employee Benefits Department - Account Executive

Craig Goodspeed has been in the insurance business since 1984. He began as an independent agent working directly with his father, Houston. After three years in the life and health insurance business, Craig broadened his capabilities by getting experience on the property and casualty side of the business. After assisting many clients in both commercial and personal lines, he returned to his employee benefit roots in 1990. Since that time, Craig has spearheaded agency efforts in the area of employee communications. Adopting his father’s goal of providing personal attention to each one of his clients, Craig has been involved intimately with employee enrollments and periodic employee Q and A sessions with the purpose of making sure each employee understands the full value of the benefits program offered by their employer.

Clients Craig has had the opportunity to work with in his 26 years in the business have been Gibson Discount Centers, Sensitive Care Nursing Homes, American Hospice Inc., Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, and Precision Well Logging to name a few.

Craig and his wife, Kelly, live in Argyle, Texas with their daughter, Kristin. Craig has been very active in both school and church groups and activities over the last several years.

She has been on various sides of the business from claims, company wholesale and for the past 10 year plus, servicing commercial accounts of varying kinds. She has worked in the insurance industry in Florida, New Jersey and now Texas.

Janie Lawrence has been in the insurance profession since 1995, bringing over 15 years of experience to Insurance One. She has predominantly worked with personal lines (auto and homeowner) during those years so that experience is a great asset to our agency and to our auto and home clients. Janie and her husband have five children and 10 grandchildren.
